Carousel

Pain gates in the body open and close.
It helps to be surrounded by a purple sea
of jellyfish all headed in the same direction.
One bell takes over half the sky,
               yellow-orange ribbons swirling like mitter curtains
on your roof in a car wash, a carousel,
              streamers with tentacles of poisonous darts.
